Thank you, Harvey. I agree. I’ve lived that kind of life for decades. Good luck in finding "someone". They ARE out there… somewhere. But I can’t tell you where, because I don’t know. I just know that they are there. KenJ

Hi DR, I do not know you, but I found your post quite compelling. Why? Because you sound like a person who is intelligent, and fed up with trying to fit into some contrived role that is alien to you. I think that’s far from boring, actually. To me, the most boring people are the ones who blindly go through life doing everything "right", doing what is expected of them always, without ever recognizing how shallow and bereft of originality it all is. You seem to have an awareness of the emptiness you perceive around you. Perhaps this awareness may lead you to finding some way to live more courageously?
