I guess there's no lonely people out there today
Question:
Robert I think you over-personalized here and maybe that’s something you can work on in your social skills… as I read Merrie’s words, I see it as meaning there’s no posts… that she came to the group and saw no new posts at the time she came here… not to mean there’s no lonely people in the world… perhaps the day and hour she looked in was very slow… that happens… and I see your response was more than 28 hours after she posted… so at the time she posted you weren’t here – see what I mean?
hope so… try not to read words as meant personally for you… I think it’ll help and hope this does

Yup… I’m here… (smile)… that kind of reminds me of my first post to this group… there were only 15 posts here, when I was lucky enough to stumble into this ng… And I had to ponder aloud just how amazing it was, that there were only 15 lonely people left in this world… well, 16, counting myself… (smile)… In the years since, I have sadly found out, that there is seemingly no end to the people in this world, that know the pain, and the empitness, of loneliness… but in the shared tears and laughter, and all the friendships I have made in this group with so many of those people, I have found some comfort, from the cold sting of loneliness… Sorry, that was probably more than you wanted to know, and surely much more than you asked… (smile) sincerely, Michael "… Cast your eyes to the Ocean Cast your soul to the Sea When the dark nights seem endless Please remember me…" Loreena McKennitt In article <YEsF4.12806$9m6.501…@newsread1.prod.itd.earthlink.net>, "Merrie" – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -<medanw…@earthlink.net> wrote: >Is there?

Thank you for supporting the FAQ. I take a chance to thank and commend also Drew/Daysleeper, who recently recalled some facts about the FAQ that some seem to forget. I’ve no idea of any real reason to oppose it, nor to take seriously illusionary arguments. I leave to you, to Drew and to all the good people of ASL the following verse by Lewis Carroll. He thought he saw an Argument That proved he was the Pope: He looked again, and found it was A Bar of Mottled Soap. ‘A fact so dread,’ he faintly said. ‘Extinguishes all hope.’ Have pun! This is true on both counts. I recently changed to a new ISP. My old ISP, Earthlink, seemed to have a lot of missing posts. And the other point is true as well, in reference to all the good, useful and valuable information contained in Raffaele’s FAQ, which is unfairly maligned by people who have not even lifted a finger to contribute to ASL by offering to assist in the creation of an alternative FAQ. Why they insist on beating a dead horse I can’t fathom. I personally think it is raw green jealousy, but maybe it is some other sort of problem. Hi Merrie! There is perhaps less traffic than usual, but messages keep coming. Please note that this may be a server problem. I keep reminding this, also in the FAQ.
