It really doesn’t matter here if you’re straight, gay, or bi…..or if you’re white, black, red, yellow…or green.  What matters is that you are lonely. Loneliness does not discriminate.  I guess what I’m trying to say is that nobody here has to defend their sexual preference or their color or their religion (or lack thereof).  If you’re lonely…then let’s talk.  You don’t have to justify anything to anyone. I think discrimination against gays/homosexuals is just a hairline away from discrimiation against the mentally ill.  It’s only recently and for political reasons that homosexuality was removed from the DSMIV Manual, the diagnostic statistics manual for classifying illness for insurance reimbursement.  Some people are born with obvious conditions like Down’s Syndrome.  Some people are born fine.  People can’t change who they are any more than as Harleyman said he could grow a "third eye in my <sic> forhead." I sent Pete Knight, the homophobic California State Senator who rejected his son for being gay, a letter on his comments page.  He says he is known for reading every letter personally and responding.  Let’s see what thinks of mine. Here’s what I said: -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- You are truly disgusting for the way you’ve rejected your son, just because he chooses a different lifestyle than you’d like.  And this is coming from a heterosexual. And you have no shame, none at all.  You are truly disgusting, and representing a truly disgusting town called Palmdale.  I am glad I don’t live there. (though San Diego is probably no better.)  And you say you’re for family values… that is the biggest lie I’ve ever heard.  Rejecting your son is NOT family values. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- If it turns out I’m wrong, he’ll correct me.  But I doubt the story is wrong. truthseeker

Congratulations, very effective! Continue to spread the word that being gay is both a choice and a lifestyle. Do you ask your black ‘friends’: "run real fast so I can see your savage musculature"? Please don’t patronize gay people with your ignorance. You have caused enough damage already. Grey Phillips River Industries Dayton,OH Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
