To each,…and to all…
Question:
To each,…and to all, First, please let me say,I sure missed all you folks! I watch the evening news, and often just have to cry,at all the things we humans do to one another. At times,it makes me wonder if all hasn’t been lost,as we human beings seem to have lost our way. Look,I’m just a dumb ol’ country boy from Louisiana, and I could never express what good it does my heart to see all of the caring, support, and unconditional acceptance you all have shown to me, as well as to each other. It sorta gives one hope that, maybe, all is not lost,in this human race. And,now, back to you.I realize we are a small group, and may be but a speck,in the grand scheme of things. But if people who do not even know one another,(in the flesh),can reach out to one another in such unconditional caring,(in the spirit),then, maybe, all is not lost, and there is still hope, for each,…and for all. What if we were not a small group? What if it was a group that included all of mankind? Then, wouldn’t man’s inhumanity to man be a thing of distant memory,…something the old folks talked about late at night,… ..as legend? I know that I have once again gone to melodrama, but when my emotions are stirred, they have a way of spinning out of control.I did not mean to go maudlin on you,it just happens sometimes. I’m sorry,I’m just not going to apologize this time.
And,again, may I suggest, that we give this same unconditional caring to those who support this group,if not in their words,in their spirits? All of this, just to say,Thank You,to each…,and to all. Welcome again ! > I watch the evening news, and often just have to cry,at all the things >we humans do to one another. At times,it makes me wonder if all >hasn’t been lost,as we human beings seem to have lost our way.
Nowadays it would be hard to distinguish a new Messiah from a traveling salesman, and preachers from talkmasters … And all the caring people who spend their nights in soup kitchen or hospices, fall into oblivion … but *there* is hope, not in loudmouthed clericals on tv ! ….. > What if we were not a small group? What if it was a group that included >all of mankind? Then, wouldn’t man’s inhumanity to man be a thing of >distant memory,…something the old folks talked about late at night,… >..as legend?
Now, that John Lennon song came to my mind … > I know that I have once again gone to melodrama, but when my emotions >are stirred, they have a way of spinning out of control.I did not mean to go >maudlin on you,it just happens sometimes.
Oh well, friend, let it happen and lay Your heart on the table. I wish I could as freely … > I’m sorry,I’m just not going to apologize this time.
*Hurrah* ! Success !

All these SysAdmins around the globe, staying up late to keep everything running, help to filter out the spam … it’s a lonely job too, and nothing to earn unlike web advertising – maintaining Usenet *still* is a matter of idealism, unquestionable. Thanks ! > "…You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one,… > I hope some day you’ll join us,and the world will live as one…" > John Lennon
Thanks, Michael – stay tuned

Hey there Walter, Good to see you again, friend. Thanks for the ‘welcome back’. But you know I didn’t go far…I’ve been watching from the ’shadows’, and I must tell you,you guys have been doing a terrific job of taking care of each other… And a lot of new "faces"…I hope to get to talk to all of them in time… But I would like to welcome them all,and hope they will stick around. There are many, many good people here… ..Too much time…too little to do…no,stop…reverse that…;-) Not much to say,I just wanted to thank you again for all the kind words of support, and encouragement…I’m glad you are here with us,you definetly make a difference…glad you found us,or,glad we found you… And one other quick note…you and Alexander talk about English being your second language, and that you are concerned you are not expressing yourselves very well…that could not be farther from the truth…both of you are doing much better than many of us, to whom English is our "native language".And I think your responses are caring, warm, insightful,as well as, well spoken. I know ‘just’ enough of "foreign" language(not native to me)to get myself in trouble,or,sometimes, get myself out of trouble… I once ordered a …"big blue dog, with fish heads, served in a frozen suitcase", thinking I was ordering something great to eat.
My point being, "many" people don’t even speak their own language very well, and "most" don’t even speak a second language at all. So,sing out, brother! I hope to talk to you some more later, when I might actually have something to say…yeah,I doubt it too…;-) Michael, Maddogg "…Everything becomes a little different, as soon as it is spoken out loud…" Hermann Hesse In article <6c2mnl$gk…@news.Austria.EU.net>, wmautner@CUT_THIS.mindless.com wrote: – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text ->Hi madd…@ibm.net (Maddogg) and all lurkers on alt.support.loneliness >!
