I wonder if this guys was inspired by the "transmogrification" discussion we had a while back. Seems he’s doing the male version of the "bitch" personality we came up with. :)

She’s nowhere near the city limits of ugly-ville, not even approaching ugly- county. That being said, to me, her does look more attractive at size 6. Probably to be my superficial ideal, she’d be at around size 8-10.

I have no problem with this… As long as your willing to accept the fact that most women aren’t going to want to "settle" for a guy who isn’t assertive, and doesn’t act ‘masculine’.

In the third pic she looks like she could lose a few pounds. I usually don’t mind girls who are a little chubby, but she’s a little big for my tastes. Certainly not ugly, though. In the "before" pic at size 6 she looks too sickly. I think she would be beautiful somewhere in between. I dig red hair and she has very pretty blue eyes. She started eating again. " ——————————— Beginning a successful career as a slender fashion model at the age of 16, Kate Dillon was was widely hailed as "the next Cindy Crawford." But she was secretly battling anorexia, desperate to keep her 5′ 11" body at an underweight size 6. Disgusted with the fashion business, Kate quit modeling and decided to be herself. Some time after that, Kate made the choice to step in front of the cameras once again — this time, as a plus-size model. Now at a healthy 180 pounds, Kate was more gorgeous than ever. She has become one of the most famous faces in plus-size modeling, and was named one of People magazine’s "50 Most Beautiful People." "I prefer to describe myself as ‘chubby,’" Kate has said. Just a side note about women’s clothes sizes: men are generally clueless about those numbers. e.g. when a woman says "I’m a size 16", a lot of us DON’T know what that means. So it is vague to say that in a personal ad or on a newsgroup.
Instead, give the chest-waist-hips measurement. We know what that means, since we buy our own clothes by chest and waist measurements. Also, it always irks me when a woman describes herself as "full figured". What the hell does that mean? I usually interpret that as "fat", even though that may be incorrect. For many woman, the "full figured" description could needlessly work against them.

Exactly. For me, I’d rather stay alone than to fight like a dog over something that I deserve WAY better than.

I’m only around 175 lbs so i’d be nervous about this fat model, but if she was shorter and more petite it might be acceptable. The fat did not go to her face which makes a huge difference. I’m desperately lonely. I’m the kind of guy who depends completely on my female counterpart. I need females to function properly; yet, i will not date a female that is too ugly. Ugly girls can be great in bed and great friends, but I still dump them very quickly(3 months). I just wake up one day and I want to be a million miles away from them. I’m not sure what it is. Maybe it is just the embarrassement of going out in public with them. What is too ugly? It is a hard line to draw. I see some very normal looking guys out in public with very ugly females and it really offends my sense of aesthetics. I certainly would not date someone who was 300 lbs. OTOH, i don’t mind dating moderately ugly females. When a female looks more lika a man than a female I certainly steer clear. Strange how being over weight makes girls so very unappealing. then there is the question of trade-offs. what is worse: ugly, fat, ethnic, old, stupid, etc, etc. i know i can fall for ugly girls. some can be quite sexy. some have personalities that are so perfect. but, i am attractive guy. Shouldn’t i have at least an average looking female. Why do females get to pick and choose. Why must us shy guys be reduced to fighting over the damaged uglies that remain after the jocks have had their pick. I do hate females.

I see that some other people don’t really seem to like this post, and at first I didn’t really know what to think either. Then I thought about some situations I’ve been in, in the past. I know that I have a hard time meeting women that are very attractive, maybe sometimes I just see a very attractive girl and think nah she’s out of my league… then at the same time I have no problems at all meeting women that I’m not attracted to. I only weigh 135lbs, I just don’t want to date someone who is twice my weight. Sometimes, I’ll end up meeting someone, and end up thinking "can’t I do better?".. Sometimes afterwards I can think back and see that the only reason I dated that person was because when I met them I was lonely and maybe a little desperate so I would have gone out with anyone that gave me the time of day. Hell we didn’t even have anything in common, so it was more than just not being attracted to her… So then I start thinking about how some people say it’s best to find someone who is around the same attractiveness as yourself… ok that can be confusing… and the fact that I’d like to meet someone who at least has some similar interests as myself, where I live, that’s going to be hard… I don’t know what to do but just hope that someday I’ll just bump into the right person I guess… That leads me to another thing… Seems like every time I talk to someone about having trouble meeting people they allways have to say something like. Don’t try so hard, you just need to stop looking so hard etc… Love is weird, you’ll meet someone when you least expect it etc… Or they’ll tell a story about how so and so was searching and searching with no luck, then gave up and quit looking, and then when they weren’t looking they met the love of their life.. blah blah blah.. I thought about all that one day, and I think I heard someone else put it this way… All of that is like saying that if you’re jobless, and trying really hard to find a job with no luck, that you should quit searching and that one will just fall into your lap… I dunno, I just have a hard time believing that’s the right way to go about things. I know I got off topic with all that… On the previous post, there’s no way anyone can tell you how to judge a person’s attractiveness. I do think being attracted to the person your with can be important. Everyone wants someone they enjoy, that makes them feel good, and they are comfortable being around at the same time… I know I would love to meet someone I can relate to, that I’m attracted to, and feel like they are attracted to at the same time…

Another of meg’s random surveys.. What do you think of girls like Kate Dillon? Im only date girls that are cute or pretty, Afterwards you can weed them out depending on what kind of personality they have. I dont think anyone should settle for a ugly partner, women dont settle and men should not have to do the same. Right now your first concern would be to get out of being shy/ineffective and once you fixed yourself then you can find cute girls to go out with. Attitude makes a huge diffrence when it comes to meeting women more than looks, but you have to atleast be average If the guy is 300lbs,short,ugly nothing can save him unless he goes for the butt-ugly women. Think of attitude as a booster, if your average looking atleast attitude gives you a boost in attractiveness to girls which permits you to get a nice range of women. But most men pretty much will rate average and can go out with cute goodlooking girls with the right attitude, the exception does exist (ugly as sin guys, who will have to settle obviously) and have no recourse.

This supports something I’ve noticed lately–namely, that women who wear their weight well also tend to look good when they’re slim. >(I’m not trying to suggest people can’t have individual size preferences, >I’m just wondering if you think her weight is dragging her down into >ugly-ville)
