There may be something to that, actually. Personally, I’m not able to do it, but it makes some sense – if you go around projecting the attitude that you are God’s gift to the world, people may actually start to believe it. Has a lot to do with self-confidence and having a positive attitude – all the qualities that attract others.

God doesn’t condemn you to a miserable existence, even if that is what you are faced with. People who are in unfortunate circumstances have volunteered to be in such conditions, and to be able to have the opportunity to grow past them. Of course this doesn’t make sense to someone suffering loneliness and despair. Even if you are in an unhappy sad situation – you have to be able to love yourself and look after yourself. I suppose this means having hope when you have none, and keeping alive a glimmer in the darkness. You have to be happy with yourself – don’t you? To thine own self – be true. Ignore everyone and everything, or go to sleep until the brunt of the feelings pass. Or maybe stay too busy to think about it. > …When you’re not cute and don’t have lot of money…but you live in a > shallow world where those things count?

Get angry and take out my aggression on a punching bag so as to keep it from boiling over and causing harm to someone, most notably myself. > …When nothing that used to make you happy brings you joy?

Forget them and move onto something else in the search for distraction, or at least release. > …When time begins to creep up on you and you’re still all by yourself?

Find something that I believe in and try to forget how old I am/am getting. > …When it hurts just to be alive?

Used to take lots of drugs and drink. Now, go to the gym and beat on someone(spar)/something(bag/mits) until I almost literally can’t walk out of the place, go home and pass out. > …When you look back at your life and see nothing but failure?

Get angry and find something I -can- do and build successes on that to combat them. > …When you lose all faith in yourself?

Pray. > …When the only thing keeping you alive is the sure conviction that God > has already condemned you to Hell for refusing to bow down and thank him > for your pain?

Pray some more, then go to the gym… -E – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> What do you do? > What do you do?

True–but sometimes there’s a tendency to want to renegotiate, like hey–can you lift a little bit of the load for 90 days and I’ll do one extra incarnation:)) or exit early and negotiate a more handleable package for next time. I think on the astral some souls take on unrealistic loads for their next–because they’re impatient to get it all done with as soon as possible. can it be that here as elsewhere – the tortoise wins and the hare writhes??? carlie:) – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text ->In article <3CB12B3A.261B5…@earthlink.net>, jtu…@earthlink.net says… >>…When you’re so lonely and sad, everything hurts you…but you’re also >>shy and down on yourself? >>…When you’re not cute and don’t have lot of money…but you live in a >>shallow world where those things count? >>…When nothing that used to make you happy brings you joy? >>…When time begins to creep up on you and you’re still all by yourself? >>…When it hurts just to be alive? >>…When you look back at your life and see nothing but failure? >>…When you lose all faith in yourself? >>…When the only thing keeping you alive is the sure conviction that God >>has already condemned you to Hell for refusing to bow down and thank him >>for your pain? >>What do you do? >>What do you do?

Haven’t seen your post for quite a while. Although they make me feel sad I like them. I know it’s kinda stupid. Still have one of them saved on my hard disk, the one called "treasure" i think. One of the most touching things i’ve read recently. That’s all i have to say. — lukas3339

Have a cone and ignore it – other people will say drugs aren’t the answer.. and they’re right, but they can take the edge off the days crap. > …When you’re not cute and don’t have lot of money…but you live in a > shallow world where those things count?

Have a cone and ignore it all – ignoring it is the *only* answer for me – what can you do in a world where short of bombing some fucker or curing a disease the only impact you can have is the garbage/trash you create ? > …When nothing that used to make you happy brings you joy?

Find something else to do > …When time begins to creep up on you and you’re still all by yourself?

Have a cone and ignore it – it’ll be a sad day for me when I can no longer do that, seeing that ‘other brain/conscience’ I have when stoned is all I look forward to every day. Apart from my favourite tv shows or other activities that are always better ‘wasted’ anyway. My loneliness or aloneness is a product of my personality and choices. Nothing more, well maybe i’m just cursed. > …When it hurts just to be alive?

Try to sleep, usually having a cone helps that. Perhaps some codiene to take the edge off the worry and doubt. Another answer is to learn some relaxation techniques, deep breathing etc > …When you look back at your life and see nothing but failure?

Cone/Ignore – nothing I can do about it – then do something that I know I will succeed with > …When you lose all faith in yourself?

Faith in yourself is very close to motivation. I’m assuming *my* lack of faith in myself and lack of motivation comes from the pot I smoke, but having said that, even before I started I was exactly the same, it really isn’t worse, just bearable now. > …When the only thing keeping you alive is the sure conviction that God > has already condemned you to Hell for refusing to bow down and thank him > for your pain?

Wake up to myself and realise that *I* am God (you in your case) and belief in any deity or religion, especially one that tells you you are going to burn in hell, is self defeating and just plain fucking wrong. Dead is dead, what happens after that is all in your head until true braindeath. > What do you do? > What do you do?

Have a cone and ignore it.
