What's the point of loneliness?
Question:
From an evolutionary perspective, what’s loneliness good for? Is it designed to get human beings into groups? After all, it’s obvious that humans are more effective in groups than alone. Therefore, it makes sense that nature would "hard-wire" us with a mechanism that makes us uncomfortable when we’re away from other human beings for too long.
