A French Slant on Enlightenment – Part I
Question:
YOU, actually wrote the original "french" post. The way it was written reminded me of how computers do that online, on-the-fly, and usually do it very poorly. I honestly thought that you used one of those. I didn’t realize that someone made of flesh and bones could have done it purposefully. I’m sorry if I offended you. Okay…a rough translation of my response to the original post for the inquiring minds that want to know….and for those that speak French and tried to figure out what the heck I was saying. :) Bear in mind that it’s a "rough" translation. Thank you for this lesson in the history. Yawn. Say…do you have a swatiska on your wall? Or perhaps carved in your forehead? Hitler was not only a very cruel man, but he was also a very stupid man. Perhaps you should select another hero. Are you a lonely person, seeking a friend, and just don’t know the right way to start? I will be your friend if you want really one. You do not have to insult me to get my attention. I really do not like discussions that are taunting and sarcastic. I’m listening if you really want to talk. Smiles, Gina Okay…now hopefully, we have that problem out of the way…..and I promise not to try speaking any more French. Hi Dan, I think it’s just frustrating to not be able to understand myself, and I envy you all, and it makes some of us feel outcast from the posts we see that are obviously written so that those of us that don’t understand can’t respond. sometimes other’s do it on purpose to keep those of us who are not bilingual out of the conversation and well it just isn’t fair to make other’s feel outcast if it’s a public newsgroup your posting to in a support group. I would appreciate it personally if those posts were translated for all to respond in a support group when their is a need to be responded to born of simply the word that binds us all "loneliness" Pamela "dan, dhrm77" <___none…@hotmail.com> wrote in message

Jeez…Dan….don’t get your panties in a wad !! ;-) I was only trying to be courteous by replying in French. I only speak a little French, not enough to even consider myself fluent. Evidently you did get the jest of what I was trying to say, though. It’s kinda the same as using bad grammar in English. I am sorry if my butchering of the French language upset you. I’ll stick to English in the future.
