Hi, The What if poem is good, I have come back to it and its still good. Here is a favourite of mine, guess the songwriters When the fat old sun in the sky is falling, Summer evening birds are calling. Summer’s thunder time of year, The sound of music in my ears. Distant bells, New mown grass smells so sweet. By the river holding hands, Roll me up and lay me down. And if you sit, Don’t make a sound. Pick your feet up off the ground. And if you hear as the warm night falls The silver sound from a time so strange, Sing to me, sing to me. When that fat old sun in the sky is falling, Summer evening birds are calling. Children’s laughter in my ears, The last sunlight disappears. And if you sit, Don’t make a sound. Pick your feet up off the ground. And if you hear as the warm night falls The silver sound from a time so strange, Sing to me, sing to me. i might put up another creed song actually! or something else.. thanks for the poem below, really beautiful… i can’t guess the song writers though! but i would say Creed, just cos they were the first that popped into my mind for obvious reasons…. i can still hear that silver sound from a time so strange for brief moments ..

perhaps.. Hey, just a thought, but if your e-mail address is valid I can send you either Real Audio or MP3 sound samples of 2-3 of the tracks (not all at once). Let me know. Glad to hear you like Enigma – what a GREAT band. Michelle

the comp i use now can’t handle mp3’s
sometimes it will not boot up for a couple of days too! should be called the "Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang".. or something.. so don’t be surprised if ever i vanish without a word lol > Let me know. > Glad to hear you like Enigma – what a GREAT band.
they are great.. i remember my parents had the first album of theirs when i was young (MCMXC a.d. i think..) and i remember the cover.. but dad says they only ever had a taped copy which is weird. for dads birthday i told described the cover to her so she would get it for me to give to him, and she got it.. and i rememberd the cover from their old copy, but now dad says they never had one with a cover! and he’s never seen it lol.. but i rememberd a "hooded monk’ type guy, and a cross.. exactly what it is.. mum also has the Cross of Changes album. i have a burnt copy of the one i got dad, and just listen to mums cos i live with her atm have there been any released since?? are they still releasing albums/performing together ? i recently brought what i think is Enyas most recent album "a day without rain" which is awesome… i always get the two band names mixed up, so do my parents so anyway, i may get that Seal album next.. nothing else more wanted atm, i don’t think – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> Michelle

Yes, they have 4 altogether, the two you have and then "Le Roi est Mort, Vive le Roi" and in 2000 they did "The Screen Behind the Mirror" both excellent. > i recently brought what i think is Enyas most recent album "a day without > rain" which is awesome… i always get the two band names mixed up, so do > my parents
Enya has done some simply GREAT stuff. Do you know the track "Pax Deorum" from "The Memory of Trees"? > so anyway, i may get that Seal album next.. nothing else more wanted atm, i > don’t think
Yes, some good music on that one. As you like quoting lyrics, here is a track from Enigma’s "The Screen Behind the Mirror", called Modern Crusader. Great for getting fired up to:- "Don’t look back The time has come All the pain turns into love We’re not submissive, we’re not aggressive But they think we can’t defend Stand up, join us, modern crusaders alive We have the power to face the future Cause we are the fighters Just fighting for our rights They’re accusing, like always without knowing What is just fiction or what is the truth They have no mission, they have no passion But they dare to tell us what’s bad and what’s good! Stand up, join us, modern crusaders alive We have the power who’ll face the future Cause we are the fighters Just fighting for our fights est affectus et defectus semper in angaria. drive on and weighted down, always enslaved. quod per sortem sternit fortem, mecum omnes plangite! since Fate strikes down the strong man, everyone weep with me! nunc obdurat et tunc curat ludo mentis aciem, egestatem, potestatem first oppresses and then soothes as fancy takes it; poverty, power Stand up, join us, modern crusaders alive We have the power who’ll face the future Cause we are the fighters Just fighting for our fights Stand up, join us, modern crusaders alive " Michelle

i believe you aren’t far off calling it death… i think some call it "death before dying", donno. but it feels like i am about to ‘flip’ to the unknown.. perhaps disappear, perhaps explode! i donno, but it is some sort of complete and total switch over.. perhaps it is the letting go of the ego.. of your self? of what you think to be yourself.. and it can seem like death to your self! because it is, i guess.. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> > > "Free me to fly again" > > yeah.. i think landing is just a part of flying :) > Michelle

hehehehehehe! the fragile is what I would call MOTORBIKE music. I recently got sent a motorbike CD and I can just about live with it, but the fragile is kind of heavy duty motorbike and would seriously damage my head!!!! No offence, but definitely guy’s stuff. there are very rare occasions when I can face this kind of music and actually enjoy it but let’s just say I am a lot older than you…………..think Eagles, Enigma, Genesis, Vangelis. > i believe you aren’t far off calling it death… i think some call it "death > before dying", donno. but it feels like i am about to ‘flip’ to the unknown.. > perhaps disappear, perhaps explode! i donno, but it is some sort of complete > and total switch over.. perhaps it is the letting go of the ego.. of your self? > of what you think to be yourself.. and it can seem like death to your self! > because it is, i guess..
Music takes me somewhere that nothing else does. It is bliss of the soul. I believe in the Sirens/Spheres and I believe that it is possible to be called by music to the extent that you would die. Michelle

hey, i like Enigma too! lol. just got a couple of their cd’s.. and a couple Enya. i like a lot of different types. pretty much any type if it’s good.. pink floyd, marilyn manson, deftones, blue oyster cult, nirvana, jimi hendrix, black sabbath, alanis morrisette, kid rock, jewel, the cure, korn, orgy, niel young, smashing pumpkins, powder finger, leonard cohen, icp, twiztid, madonna, chemical bros, cypress hill, u2, david bowie, godhead, placebo.. etc etc etc lol. ok maybe that’s a few too many examples. but if you only heard a couple songs from the fragile, i still suggest listening to some more! cos it varies so much throughout the album.. it’s 2 cds’ aswell.. i donno.. off the top of my head i would say d/load "la mer" from the fragile.. (though he’s not singing in that!
or.. damn i’m so bad with matching song titles with the actual songs.. but there’s some songs that are a little to thrashy and heavy for me too.. and then some that are some of the most soothing songs i’ve heard.. but it all weaves into each other so well, it’s a really ‘organic’ album – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> > i believe you aren’t far off calling it death… i think some call it > "death > > before dying", donno. but it feels like i am about to ‘flip’ to the > unknown.. > > perhaps disappear, perhaps explode! i donno, but it is some sort of > complete > > and total switch over.. perhaps it is the letting go of the ego.. of your > self? > > of what you think to be yourself.. and it can seem like death to your > self! > > because it is, i guess.. > Music takes me somewhere that nothing else does. Good song. It’s on the Basketball Diaries soundtrack too. Seal Crazy In a church,by the face, He talks about the people going under. Only child know… A man decides after seventy years, That what he goes there for, is to unlock the door. While those around him criticize and sleep… And through a fractal on a breaking wall, I see you my friend, and touch your face again. Miracles will happen as we trip. But we’re never gonna survive, unless… We get a little crazy No we’re never gonna survive, unless… We are a little… Cray…cray…cray… …Crazy yellow people walking through my head. One of them’s got a gun, to shoot the other one. And yet together they were friends at school Ohh, get it, get it, get it, get it no no! If all were there when we first took the pill, Then maybe, then maybe, then maybe, then maybe… Miracles will happen as we speak. But we’re never gonna survive unless… We get a little crazy. No we’re never gonna survive unless… We are a little… Crazy… No no, never survive, unless we get a little… bit… Oh, a little bit… Oh, a little bit… Oh… Oh… Amanda decides to go along after seventeen years… Oh darlin… In a sky full of people, only some want to fly, Isn’t that crazy? In a world full of people, only some want to fly, Isn’t that crazy? Crazy… In a heaven of people there’s only some want to fly, Ain’t that crazy? Oh babe… Oh darlin… In a world full of people there’s only some want to fly, Isn’t that crazy? Isn’t that crazy… Isn’t that crazy… Isn’t that crazy… Ohh… But we’re never gonna survive unless, we get a little crazy.. crazy.. No we’re never gonna to survive unless we are a little… crazy.. But we’re never gonna survive unless, we get a little crazy.. crazy.. No we’re never gonna to survive unless, we are a little.. crazy.. No no, never survive unless, we get a little bit… And then you see things The size Of which you’ve never known before They’ll break it Someday… Only child know…. sometimes, temporarily, you have to lose it. have you heard the song by SEAL "In order to survive, you gotta be a little crazy?" it is OK I think to lose it temporarily with music, to get carried away on your spirit for a while tomorrow is another day, with it’s inherent drudgery and reality lose it while you can just maintain some kind of hold "Free me to fly again" Michelle

I can’t find the rhyme in all my reason I’ve lost sense of time and all seasons I feel I’ve been beaten down By the words of man who have no grounds I can’t sleep beneath the trees of wisdom When your ax has cut the roots that feed them Forked tongues in bitter mouths Can drive a man to bleed from the inside out What if you did? What if you lied? What if I avenge? What if eye for an eye? I’ve seen the wicked fruit of your vine Destroy the man who lacks a strong mind Human pride sings a vengeful song Inspired by the times you’ve been walked on My stage is shared by millions Who lift their hands up high because they feel this We are one We are strong The more you hold us down the more we press on What if you did? What if you lied? What if I avenge? What if eye for an eye? I know I can’t hold the hate inside my mind ‘Cause what consumes your thoughts controls your life So I’ll just ask a question What if? What if your words could be judged like a crime? ~~~ "What If" from Creed’s "human clay".
